• The most common form is a single residence and work permit, which allows you to stay in Slovenia and work for a specific employer. This permit is usually issued for a period of up to one year and can be extended. It is suitable for workers who are employed by a Slovenian company.
• In the event that a foreigner wishes to open a limited liability company in Slovenia, become a director or owner of a company, a permit for self-employment or business activity is required. This procedure requires additional evidence and careful preparation of documentation.
• For highly qualified professionals, there is also the option of the EU Blue Card, which is intended for professionals with appropriate education and experience. This form of permit allows for more favorable residence conditions and greater flexibility within the EU.
• In certain cases, seasonal work is also possible, which is time-limited and tied to individual activities, such as tourism, catering or agriculture.
